On way

9.00am. We left the house at exactly half past eight, after my usual OCD checking all the doors and windows about four times. It feels great to be on the move. Kirsten's Land Rover is limited to 83mph, so we are cruising along the M42, about to hit the M1. Despite going at 83mph it is very smooth, but we are still being overtaken by some vehicles going at least 20mph faster.

9.13am. At a service station off the M1 in Nottinghamshire. I think the Land Rover has a secret warp button, we are making really good time.
