Had a nice email from the OU today, which said:
Welcome David,
We thought you would like a timely reminder of the details of your course starting on Saturday 31 July at University of Durham, in Durham.
What to expect
We know many students can be a little nervous at the start of a residential school, but don't worry; everyone is in the same boat. At the start of the school you will be assigned to a small group of fellow students, led by a group tutor who will be with you for the week. By the end of the second day it is normally hard to get the group to stop talking!
When you arrive
When you arrive, please go to Grey College where we will register you. Registration starts at 14:00 and your welcome session start time will be 16:15. Please arrive in plenty of time to find your room and settle in before the session starts.
What is covered in the residential school?
We are sure you’ll have great fun at the residential school. But don't take our word for it. Check other Student’s Experiences to read what others thought about their residential school.
Information about residential school
You can find out more about arrival and departure times, how to get there and facilities by visiting your student home page or your course web site. The website contains important details about your school and the venue. Please read through the information to ensure you have made all the appropriate arrangements for your school.
Please complete the registration form prior to arriving at the school and hand it in at registration.
We suggest that you bring all this information with you to the school. You will need the form to register and the venue information contains important details that you may need to refer to during your school.
Any questions?

We look forward to seeing you there!
