An interesting morsel of information about the Electrical Oscillations experiment has come via Mandy, a mutual friend of Roy and mine, who has already done SXR207.The experiment talks at length about coils, sinusoidal oscillations, and induction. The conclusion of this set of experiments is making a radio, which is, after all, simply converting inducted radio waves into sound.
Apparently people who have done this end up being able to receive either test matches or Radio 4, i.e., cricket or The Archers!
It's not like I need another radio, but it will be nice to have a permanent memento of my time in Durham.
