11.17am. After stopping at Trowell services in Nottinghamshire, we carried on zooming at 83mph. We have just seen the first sign for Durham, only 21 miles away. We have made brilliant time so far; we are going to be nice and early at this rate.
We've had some great chats on the way up. Roy and Kirsten are planning to go travelling by road in Africa next year, she wants to visit her birth country of Zimbabwe. Sounds like a hell of a road trip. They would like us to come out and visit them in Cape Town. That would be an amazing holiday, and it would be great if we could make it.
