Oscillate Off

5.42pm. Just finished the electrical oscillations lab for the day. There is a further morning session on it tomorrow, then that one is concluded. Damn it was hard work today, and both Dunc and I were feeling tired around the 3pm mark.

We both got very annoyed with ourselves, separately, over something stupid, mine was not calculating a gradient correctly (I divided the two quantities the wrong way around). Dunc was getting annoyed because the circuit board was small and fiddly, and trying to attach numerous crocodile clips to something the size of a drawing pin spike is not easy.

Dunc thanked me for being patient with him, which was thoughtful and unexpected. He's been a pleasure to work with, and I look forward to doing it again tomorrow morning.

Tonight it's food, in about 20 minutes, then at 7pm there is a lecture on general relativity by David Keen (I believe). He is bound to be informative and very entertaining so I will make sure I go to that, but otherwise I could do with a long shower (I'm reliably informed that the showers are now hot, thankfully) and an early night.
