Dry run, like

Just booked the hotel for our long weekend in Newcastle, over the early May bank holiday weekend in 2010. It will be a nostalgia trip for him, as he spent a fair wodge of time stationed in that part of the country during his service in the Royal Navy.

I on the other hand have never been to Newcastle, so it will be entirely new for me.

However on one of the days of the long weekend, we're going to jump on the train to Durham, so that I can lay my ghosts to rest, before I have to go to Durham 'for real' when I do SXR207. So this trip is a sort of 'dry run' if you will.
