7.05am. Well I'm registered, finally, onto my residential week. Registrations opened this morning, in fact they weren't supposed to open until 8am. I look forward to getting confirmation that I'm enrolled on the week that I wanted.
I do think it's a shame that the OU looks likely to scrap all of its science faculty residential courses (with the exception of SXR103, which I've already done). Residential schools are amazing experiences, when OU students get to learn some of the practical skills connected with the things they have been learning in other courses. It seems very short-sighted to abandon these, even if they are 'loss making'. The OU isn't a business in the conventional way, it's an educational charity. And who really wants to put a price on education?
