These are the words no OU student ever wants to read, particularly when you've worked hard on a course. I especially wanted to do this course justice, particularly as I'd wanted to ensure that all my Durham ghosts were buried, so to receive a 'fail' is particularly upsetting.
I found my result this morning at about 7am, and spent the day sulking. I didn't tell anyone until well into the evening. Alan and I talked it through, and we discussed the possibility of retaking the course.
If I do retake it, I will cancel my registration for TXR220. I can't very well do both, either in terms of annual leave or money, especially when my principal reason for doing TXR220 is because Paul is also doing it - even if it does also count towards my degree.
Feeling very glum about things this evening, but a night's sleep should help with that. I'll phone the OU tomorrow, and see if they have places left on the 30th July 2011 week. This really is the only week I can make it, as all the rest clash (or come immediately before) our summer holiday in Mallorca,
More tomorrow. Watch this space.
